To scale the carbon removal industry to climate-relevant measures we need international standards Carbon Standards International (CSI) ensures that carbon removal projects meet the highest standards through rigorous auditing and certification processes.
Becoming a C-sink trader is a natural step for us as we expand our portfolio of Biochar Carbon Removal producers and project developers. This enables a more effective and transparent transfer of carbon removal credits from the producers to our customers.
Down To Earth has been working with CSI for the last couple of years assisting Biochar Carbon removal producers in becoming certified under the European Biochar Certificate.
CSI has done some important work in developing the C-sink tool and registry, ensuring digital reporting and verification vital to building trust in the carbon removal market.
