Fjærland Fjordstove Hotell
Fjærland Fjordstove Hotel is perfectly situated along the upper part of the spectacular Sognefjord. Fjærland is a small farming village that blossoms in the summer when visitors from all over the world experience the glacier, climb the mountains, enjoy the scenery, and stroll through the booktown. The nature, the environment, and the opportunities they bring for great experiences and quality ingredients are important to the hotel.
Fjærland Fjordstove Hotel used biochar even before Norwegian Carbon Storage was established. In the spring of 2021, they held a course on the production and use of biochar in which their vegetable supplier, Bøtun Gard, participated.
The biochar course was part of a project in collaboration with Plantemangfald to implement tangible, down-to-earth environmental measures. The entire hotel garden was transformed into an edible ornamental garden. The biochar produced in the course was used in the hotel's garden, and you can still find it if you dig your finger into the soil!
In Fjærland, you are welcome to enjoy the fruits of biochar in the edible garden, and you can purchase carbon storage and biochar for your garden.
