Fjærland Fjordstove Hotel used biochar even before Norwegian Carbon Storage was established. In the spring of 2021, they held a course on the production and use of biochar in which their vegetable supplier, Bøtun Gard, participated.

The biochar course was part of a project in collaboration with Plantemangfald to implement tangible, down-to-earth environmental measures. The entire hotel garden was transformed into an edible ornamental garden. The biochar produced in the course was used in the hotel's garden, and you can still find it if you dig your finger into the soil!

In Fjærland, you are welcome to enjoy the fruits of biochar in the edible garden, and you can purchase carbon storage and biochar for your garden.

Fjærland Fjordstove Hotell har brukt biokull allerede før Norsk karbonlagring ble etablert. Våren 2021 holdt de kurs i produksjon og bruk av biokull der m.a. egen grønsaksleverandøren Bøtun gard deltok.

Biokull-kurset var del av et prosjekt sammen med Plantemangfald for å gjøre konkrete, jordnære miljøtiltak, der hele hotellhagen ble gjort om til en spiselig prydhage. Biokullet som ble produsert i kurset ble brukt i hagen til hotellet, der du kan finne det igjen, om du stikker fingen i jorda!

Carbon removal is an international term for extracting CO2 from the carbon cycle and atmosphere. Carbon removers in Down To Earth's network are companies that pay monthly to ensure this happens. The carbon is stored in agricultural soil, which is beneficial for soil improvement and climate adaptation.

Karbonfjerning er et internasjonalt begrep for å ta CO2 ut av kretsløpet og atmosfæren. Karbonfjernere i Norsk Karbonlagrings nettverk er bedrifter som på månedlig basis betaler for at dette skjer. Karbonet lagres i landbruksjord hvor det kommer til nytte som jordforbedring og klimatilpasning.

Bøtun is a family-run farm 240 meters above sea level at Lambhaug in Luster municipality. Bøtun consists of Mathilde and Martin, along with their three children. Through their focus on small-scale vegetable production, they aim to showcase an alternative perspective on the possibilities for small farms in Western Norway. Their primary production is vegetable subscriptions, outdoor pigs, flowers, and yoga. Norsk Karbonlagring is proud to support the work at Bøtun!

Bøtun er en familiedrevet gård som ligger 240 moh. på Lambhaug i Luster kommune. Bøtun består av Mathilde og Martin - samt deres tre barn. Gjennom deres satsning på småskala grønnsaksproduksjon ønsker vil de vise et alternativ til hvordan man kan tenke om mulighetene som ligger i småbruk på Vestlandet. Hovedproduksjonen er grønnsaksabonnementer, i tillegg til utegris, blomster og yoga. Norsk Karbonlagring er stolte av å bidra til arbeidet på Bøtun!
