Strawberry
Strawberry is one of the largest hotel companies in the Nordics, offering a wide variety of hotels, meetings and conferences, restaurants, and spas. They have four major hotel chains - Comfort Hotel, Quality Hotel, Clarion Hotel, and Clarion Collection Hotels.
In 2024, Strawberry partnered with Down to Earth to purchase biochar for use at their hotel, Clarion Hotel - The Hub, located in the heart of Oslo. On top of this hotel, you'll find one of Northern Europe's largest rooftop gardens, where vegetables, herbs, and berries are grown for the hotel's guests to enjoy.
The biochar is mixed into the soil, helping to retain valuable nutrients that are available to the plants when needed.
Through this collaboration with Down to Earth, Strawberry and Clarion Hotel - The Hub are not only making a positive environmental impact but also creating a compelling climate narrative.
