Carbon StorageBjølsund farm is the local milk supplier to Rygge Dairy, located just a few kilometers of cart road away from the dairy. The milk is delivered warmly directly into cheese production.
The carbon ordered for offsetting carbon footprints is stored continuously. The carbon is given as a feed additive or placed directly in the manure pit to optimize the soil improvement effect. In this way, the carbon helps to strengthen the soil that grows the grass the cow eats to produce more milk for new cheeses.
